Director

Dr. Robert Henry

Since winning first prize in four international piano competitions, Dr. Henry has presented solo debuts at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Wigmore Hall. An International Steinway Artist, Dr. Henry has earned a reputation for giving stunning performances of the most demanding repertoire and for presenting overlooked masterpieces to the public, from Bach to Boulanger. He is Chair of Piano Studies at Kennesaw State University and is regularly heard on WABE and NPR. Dr. Henry is also the Director of Music, organist, and choirmaster of St. George’s Episcopal Church.


Assistant Director and Accompanist

Mr. Huu Mai

Currently Artist-in-Residence in Piano at the Kennesaw State University, Mr. Mai has performed as a concerto artist with orchestras such as the Cobb Symphony Orchestra and the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra. As a collaborative artist, Mr. Mai has toured with tenor, Ken Lavigne, and performs with a number of other artists. Mr. Mai is the recipient of the 2019 Georgia Music Teachers Association “Teacher of the Year” Award.  He also serves as Director of Music at North Decatur Presbyterian Church.

Joy Poole

Joy Poole graduated from Mercer University with degrees BA in Piano Performance and Music Education. She is active in the Music Teachers National Association both on the local and state level, serving in past years as President of Cobb County Music Teachers Association. She is currently serving as the President of the Georgia Music Teachers Association. Joy enjoys teaching private and group piano lessons, as well as working with preschool and children’s choirs.
