Who We Welcome
Auditions are open to boys in grades 3 through 8. After hearing your son sing, our Artistic Director will recommend the choir that best fits his voice and musical experience.

Things to Know
What to Expect on Audition Day
An ABC audition is low-pressure. We want to hear your son sing and get a sense of his musical instincts. That's it.
Preparation
Please prepare one short a cappella selection. "America the Beautiful," "The Star-Spangled Banner," or a familiar school or church choir piece all work well.
What to Wear
There's no formal dress code. Comfortable, neat clothing is what we recommend, something your son would feel good wearing to school or church.
When to Arrive
Please plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your assigned time slot to check in.
What Happens in the Room
All students meet with our Artistic Director, sing a few vocal exercises to check their range. They then perform a prepared selection, and have a brief conversation about each student's interest in the choir. The whole audition process takes about ten minutes.
Next Steps
Results and choir placement will be emailed to families within a few days of the audition.

The Seta brothers grew up in the Atlanta Boy Choir; read their stories below.

I grew up singing in the Atlanta Boy Choir, and now my brother and I sing with the Alumni Men’s Choir. Some of my greatest memories include singing at the lighting of the Christmas tree at the Georgia Capitol, where I got to meet the governor, and the tour to Savannah, where we sang at a church in historic Johnson Square and went on a boat to see a lighthouse at Tybee Island. As I got older, I enjoyed working with the younger boys during rehearsals and concerts. We have a lot of fun, and I look forward to singing with this group of guys for many years to come.

I was two years old when I went on my first tour to Italy with the Atlanta Boy Choir. My older brother sang in the choir and my dad accompanied the group as an interpreter and chaperone, so my mom and my twin brother and I came along. When we were a little older, my brother and I joined the choir, and we grew to enjoy and appreciate beautiful music. I have learned to play several musical instruments, and I plan to major in music in college. I am also grateful for the friends I have made in the Choir, who inspire me to continue learning and growing and who will always be part of my musical family.

Financial Support
A Word on Cost
The 2026-2027 Choral season tuition is $750 which covers part of the total costs to train and support each chorister. Additional costs for uniforms and tours are the responsibility of a chorister family.
We believe every boy who wants to be here should be here, and the Atlanta Boy Choir offers scholarship support for families who need it to help ensure cost isn't a barrier to participation.
