Choirs & Programs

A Choir for Every Age,

A Way for Every Boy to Get Engaged.

For more the eight decades, the Atlanta Boy Choir has shaped boys into artists and leaders. Whatever stage your son is at, there is a place for him here.

How It Works

Every Boy Starts Somewhere.

The Atlanta Boy Choir offers structured choral programs for boys at every stage of their development, from the Training Choir for boys beginning their musical journey, to the Concert Choir for advanced performers, to the Alumni Men's Choir for those carrying the  tradition into adulthood. We accept boys with no prior experience. What we look for is curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to grow.

Our Choir Structure

Three Choirs. One Tradition.

Entry Level

Training Choir

The Training Choir is where the journey begins. Boys in this level develop foundational musicianship, learning to listen, match pitch, read music, and perform with confidence in front of an audience. It's less about perfection and more about discovery: building the habits of discipline and joy that carry a boy through every level of the program.

Grades 3–7 · Audition required

Performance Level

Concert Choir

Our Concert Choirs are the heart of the Atlanta Boy Choir. Singers at this level perform a rigorous repertoire spanning classical, sacred, and contemporary choral music on local stages and on regional, national, and international tours. This is where boys become performers: learning to carry a part, hold a standard, and represent something larger than themselves every time they step on stage.

Grades 5–8 or until voice change · Audition required

Alumni Ensemble

ALUMNI MEN'S CHOIR

The Atlanta Boy Choir doesn't end at graduation. The Alumni Men's Choir brings former choristers back together to perform, reconnect, and carry the tradition forward as adult singers. This ensemble performs alongside the boys' choirs at select events throughout the year, a living reminder that once you're part of this program, you never really leave.

Grades 8 through Senior Adult · Open to all ABC alumni

Financial Support

A Word on Cost

The 2026-2027 Choral season tuition is $750 which covers part of the total costs to train and support each chorister. Additional costs for uniforms and tours are the responsibility of a chorister family.

We believe every boy who wants to be here should be here, and the Atlanta Boy Choir offers scholarship support for families who need it to help ensure cost isn't a barrier to participation. If you're not sure whether or not your family qualifies, reach out to us at financialassistance@atlantaboychoir.org.

More Than Music: Jameson’s Story

Some lessons reach far beyond the notes on the page. Five years into his time with the Atlanta Boy Choir, Jameson has grown as much as a person as he has as a singer. Here is what the Choir has meant to him, in his own words.

The Skills That Travel: Jason’s Story

The best of what a chorister learns here does not stay in our rehearsal room. Five years in, Jason is already carrying his training into his school chorus and toward whatever he sings next. Here is how he describes it.

A First Tour to Remember: Jackson’s Story

For a young singer, a first tour can leave a mark that lasts. This summer, Jackson joined the Southeastern Heritage Tour, singing alongside our Alumni Men and the Birmingham Boys Choir and meeting people who lived the history the tour set out to honor. Here is what...
