Saturday, May 2, brought roughly fifty alumni to St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church for the Atlanta Boy Choir's "Still Singing: Alumni Reception," and what unfolded that evening, the music, the conversations, and the reconnections, reflected what the Atlanta Boy Choir has built over eight decades: a community that endures.
The evening opened with a live performance from the training and concert choirs, ending in a song by the ABC Alumni Men's Choir, featuring current Men's Choir choristers and alumni from around the world who returned to Atlanta, Georgia for the historic event.
After the performance, alumni gathered for an exclusive cocktail reception where leadership formally announced the 2026 Southeastern Heritage Tour and offered an early look at what's ahead for the Choir. Throughout the evening, alumni took turns standing and sharing their favorite memories from their time with the Choir. Some had not set foot inside an ABC event in decades. Some had never stopped showing up. The stories that filled the room are the foundation of ABC's archival storybanking project, and they continue to shape how the Choir tells its story.
Together, alumni and supporters raised over $2,800 (and counting) for the 2026 Southeastern Heritage Tour fund, which will carry choristers through Atlanta, Selma, Montgomery, Birmingham, and beyond on a six-day tour tracing the civil rights corridor.
St. Bartholomew's has also shared a recording of the evening on their page, linked here. We're grateful for their hospitality and their partnership.
